Job Description (Head) Office position Operational Vacation Park Manager Contract type Permanent contract Working hours Full-time Job title Concern Operational Vacation Park Manager Job description As Operational Vacation Park Manager from the head office, you are ultimately responsible for the operational aspects of our vacation parks. inquiries that come into Beach Resorts ( leads ) regarding the information on the purchase of recreational homes. As operations manager, you will be responsible for advising, supporting, and supervising the general managers of our vacation resorts in the Netherlands. Within this position, you will provide operational leadership to our executive staff whose vacation parks vary in size, complexity, and turnover. You encourage and facilitate optimal cooperation between the parks, as well as between the parks and headquarters. You are on the road a lot and can easily switch between various layers within the organization. You provide solicited and unsolicited advice on a variety of quality issues, both to internal employees and park management and to members of the Executive Board. Therefore, you can get people within the organization constructively on board with the importance and urgency of operational matters. In addition to securing the overall operational process, quality is an important focal point within the concern. By measuring guest and owner satisfaction, we ensure that operational processes are subject to continuous improvement. You know better than anyone how to inspire people; you know how to develop a strong vision that aligns with organizational goals and how to communicate it. You will support the general managers in many different areas, such as: Monitor financial performance (KPIs) and achievement of set goals; Translate guest satisfaction reports into practice; Compliance with company policies, planning CAPEX and setting appropriate priorities; Develop and improve teams at the parks; Identify, record, and prevent quality problems. Establish strategic objectives and monitor progress in achieving those objectives; Develop, lead, and participate in projects to improve the overall organization and achieve the strategic objectives of the Beach Resorts organization; Establishing, understanding and testing the effectiveness of organizational policies; Maintain relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, such as related vendors, supervisors, government, the board, and, of course, the owners of vacation homes in the park. Furthermore, as the central point of contact, you take care of internal communication between the parks and create a pleasant open working atmosphere through situational leadership. With your experience, you know how to create a positive and productive environment where everyone can get the best out of themselves. You are decisive in your actions, adjusting when necessary and not shying away from a potentially unpopular decision. Furthermore, you evaluate the results per park regularly and discuss them, together with the employees and also within management, in a monthly operations meeting. In addition, you are ultimately responsible for specific sub-areas within the region, such as for deploying hours, wages, and overhead. ( to be further agreed upon ) Applicant criteria You have several years of management experience in tourism/hospitality; Your working and thinking abilities match the Dutch HBO (hoger beroepsonderwijs) level; You have experience in preparing budgets and interpreting business results; You are results-oriented, decisive and persuasive; You preferably have broad experience in operational management and verifiable results in optimizing business results, with experience at vacation parks or within other vacation park concerns or the hotel industry being an advantage; You have demonstrated experience coaching and managing a team remotely. Competencies What makes you the right candidate? Because of your commercial, operational attitude, you see opportunities that others miss; you are a real team player and socially minded. As an operations manager, you do not have a 9-5 mentality and are willing to work weekends. You are enthusiastic, commercial, results-oriented, and can work very independently. You have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar position and in addition we expect: A dynamic personality who enjoys working independently with a professional back office. Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English languages (German is an advantage). Verbal and written communication skills (NL, ENG - German is a plus). Stress-resistant and flexible attitude, open-minded, and above all, positive attitude. Proactively maintain contacts, both with internal and external parties. Identify and take advantage of operational opportunities. You have a car and a driver's license. Working and thinking level matching the Dutch MBO (middelbaar beroepsonderwijs)/HBO (hoger beroepsonderwijs); Full-time availability. You have an excellent command of Dutch, orally and in writing. Command of the German language is not a must but an advantage. Also, you are communicative and can make decisions, even in the face of uncertainties. You value accuracy and are sociable, allowing you to communicate well with different departments. You function well under pressure, managing different priorities in your daily routine.
