Sneek, Leeuwarden, Harlingen, Franeker, Hindeloopen, Bolsward, Dokkum, IJlst, Sloten, Stavoren and Workum, also called the Frisian eleven cities, are definitely worth a visit during your holiday.

Enjoy one of the many wellness facilities in the area during your holiday, this will be really relaxing. Or will you dive into one of the swimming pools?

Friesland is known for its beautiful nature. Including the IJsselmeer where you can go boating, walking and cycling. Tip: discover the protected nature reserve Makkumersúdwaard.

There is no shortage of museums in Friesland. With the Frisian Museum Village, the Kazematten Museum and the Woudagemaal, among others, you will not be bored. Nature lovers should visit the Afsluitdijk Wadden Center.

There is also a lot to do for children in the area. Play for hours at Ballorig Sneek or discover the Kameleondorp. Aqua Zoo, the petting zoo or the animal and play park Sanjesfertier are not to be missed either.

There are plenty more trips to go on from our park. You can visit a water ski course, cinema, golf course and a go-kart and laser tag course in the area!

From Friesland, you can easily visit the Wadden Islands. During the boat trip, you might see one of the many seals in this area. Will you choose Ameland, Terschelling, Vlieland, or Schiermonnikoog?

Skûtsjesilen, kaatsen, fierljeppen and ringsteken are typical Frisian sports that you can practice during your holiday. Did you know that the best ljeppers can reach distances of 18 meters? Are you going to try one of the sports during your holiday?

Makkum itself is also worth a visit. Discover this versatile village with its beautiful beaches, and pleasant boulevards with nice eateries and shops. You can also practice many water sports in Makkum, such as windsurfing.

It's also called the Venice of the Netherlands: Giethoorn. This unique water region village in Overijssel is a 55-minute drive away. Here you can make beautiful boat trips right through the village.
